After many months of talking to new internet marketers and aspiring network marketing entrepreneurs I have come to one forgone conclusion, no one takes the time to make a plan. Imagine that, going into the battle of business with no plan of action and no firm commitments to speak of. If you start you home business, like the majority do, on a wing and a prayer I will guarantee you will find yourself a casualty like more than 95% who fail in home business today.
I cannot stress this point enough! The plan is the basic foundation for success and far too many are expecting their sponsor or someone else to work out the details and it never happens. Others never really give it much thought which I've found even more astonishing.
Oftentimes I'll ask my trainees to provide their plan for me in writing. I ask them to fax or email it to me so I can take a look and see where they are. The majority of the time I hear that they don't have anything to send but they can tell me over the phone. This is like driving a semi truck down hill, with their eyes closed with no brakes when it comes to business.
This may seem a little negative but it is true and the truth isn't always so pretty. It's only when we realize the gravity of where we are can we make the changes we need.
Let's look at a sports analogy for a minute. Let's just say a professional baseball team never wrote down their plays and practiced them consistently. They had talent or "potential" but they would never commit to practicing any set plays. What might their season look like?
That's right, they'd have a terrible season and it wouldn't be any one's fault but their own. This is what I see going on with Network Marketers starting home businesses without a game plan.
I have realized at this point that most home business start-ups are comprised of some type of quick-start training and immediately followed by marketing efforts. In essence, it's as if they got trained what to do but never prepared a game plan on how to implement what they'd learned so they wallow around trying different things they learned hoping that something works.
We all know from history that this approach never works in anything you do. It's like throwing something against a wall and hoping it sticks.
Here is what you need to do first to make sure you don't miss this critical step in your success. Grab a piece of paper and take the time to write or type up the things you want to accomplish and break it down in increments of one year, six months, three months and one month. Then write down the steps you will have to take daily to reach those goals. This is the only way you will actually stay the course and have long term success.
I can't begin to work out a complete, detailed plan of action for you in this short white space but I hope this has given you an idea of its importance to your success. Check out my website as you'll find some more information on my personal Network Marketing plan that may help you as well. - 16003
