How Can I Make Money From Home Without Loosing to Another Scam?

By Pavel Becker

I was wondering that myself a couple of years ago.

The answer I found has completely changed my life in such a short amount of time that I would like to share it with you.

Something you should know first: there are two different things available for you: work from home and home based business. They are two absolutely different things.

Working from home means you're still somebody else's employee. You have to do what they tell you, when they tell you, and are limited by how much they are willing to pay you.

Another thing is a home based business. In this case you are becoming a business owner and your income potential increases, but you actually have to be involved in a decision-making process.

I won't be much help if you want to learn about working from home. However, if you want to learn about home-based businesses, I can help you out there.

In today's world Internet has become a great vehicle to market goods and services and has allowed a lot of businesses to reach larger customer groups.

The Internet has also created a concept of a "Internet marketer": a person who markets products and services via the Internet.

So, in many cases, "home based business" means a business that delivers products and services using the power of the Internet.

But Internet businesses don't sell promises. They still have to have an actual product to sell in order to get the cash flowing and, if you're the marketer, that product still needs to be promoted.

With so many options, you need to narrow down your prospects to something you are comfortable with.

Compared to traditional "Brick-and-Mortar" businesses, Internet, or home-based businesses have much lower overhead, smaller start-up costs, and almost no necessary equipment-other than a computer, of course. There's not store front to up keep or pay rent on, there are few, if any, employees to pay, and very small amounts of on-hand inventory. All of this combined, makes it easier to get an Internet business up and running, and allows you to see the results a lot sooner.

The idea of Internet business is still young, not a lot of people have experience with them. When you're talking about Internet businesses, you're likely to run into a lot of disgusted people saying that they're all "scams" or "definitely too good to be true!" But your uncle Joe who has spent his life tinkering under the hoods of cars is bound to think that anything over the Internet is dangerous.

It's like with any other business opportunity: there is always a gun-slinger with his "It ain't gonna work". There are also a lot of people who is going to try to drag you into something scammy. They will be screaming "Sure, go ahead and join me, pay me this much money and then I will personally write you a check for a million dollars!"

And like with any other business you need a lot of information to make an educated decision about each particular business opportunity. What if you were interested in opening a laundromat, would you base your decision about getting involved on uncle Bob's "It's a get rich quick scheme" or on the sellers promise of a million dollars in a month? No. You would try to acquire all the information you can get and only based on facts you would make a conclusion about a particular business opportunity.

Here are a few things you should look at when considering any Internet business:

- what is the product that you are going to market

- will a potential customer see the value of the product without a two hour presentation

- is there a clear marketing strategy

- is there a support or any kind of mentorship available

- How much profit can I expect from each unit sold? (Ten-cents per widget or ten grand per adjustable bed?)

Answers to those questions should be readily available to you and will help you make the right decision for you.

Internet marketing is a great business after all and you would be surprised to know how many people are involved and what kind of money are being made here, but before you get involved, again, do your research.

I can't tell you that I'd investigated all the possible opportunities out there, but I stopped at one and haven't regretted it so far.

Just for fun, next time somebody gets angry and tells you Internet marketing is a scam, ask them how they know, what companies they've worked with, how much they had invested, and if they even had a marketing plan. Ask them for names, data, and specific instances.

Most of them probably won't even know what you are talking about because they have never had any experience with Internet marketing. They'll just get embarrassed and tell you that your fate is in your hands. And it is. Get smart about it.

If you are actually interested in finding people from this industry, go to You Tube - there is a lot of us over there and we are open to the idea of sharing all the information we have about what we do.

Home-based business can change your life-it did mine. The question is: will you let it?
