what games do we really like to play?

By Roy Tzayag

The Internet offers us a wide variety of sites, games and genres, what games people really like to play? After some research and checking, some was used by lots of Google tools I got to some interesting conclusions.

The number one genre is dress up! I don't know if it's because of the fact that girls have less categories that appeal them then boys or just that they really love playing but that genre is extremely loved.

So what are dressup games, i guess some of your didn't play those games before, well Dress up games are like dolls for girls except you dress them up online. Dress up games are a basic introduction for younger girls first encountering the world of Internet and computers, which is a good value for those girls that usually don't approach computers, a thing that might be a disadvantage later on, compared to younger boys that have lots of interaction with the online games and computers.

You can see how popular the genre is from the large number of dress up sites on the Net. Another popular category is driving games, which always appealed to the boys and grown up men section, for some people it's the only place they can practice fast and wild driving, well, better at the computer home then the real road.

Racing games often let you drive at high speed more then allowed by law in the comfort of your own home so many people enjoy those games.

Racing games can be judged by a number of aspects, such as handling, graphics, and track selection, but the most important aspect for hardcore race fans is customization options, the more upgrades and options you have, the better! Racing games can get boring pretty fast so those days game developers must innovate and find original ways to improve the game play.

Most Driving games are divided into two genres: racing simulation, which offers accurate physics and real world feeling of the cars, and arcade racing, in which no accurate representation is available, and offers just pure fun.

Last but not least is the vintaged shooting genre that can be categorized into two main types-the triple A adventure games and the simple shoot em' up games with no plot, just shoot whatever stand in your way. Another popular sub genre inside those games are the space theme games that feature interesting missions and slaying some aliens and other targets that stand in our way. Shooting can be great fun games if executed properly so developers must put an emphasis on the the graphic interface and the game play engine.

Another surprising popular genre are the board games that can be described as a unique form of strategy games, board games can appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers, providing no-frills fun on any number of platforms. Well, now that you know more about online games, find your style and have fun, good luck! - 16003
