Free Classified Ads: Using them to Your Benefit

By Alex Wu

So you have a few things to sell, and you are thinking about putting them in your local paper. There are free classified ad websites that you can place your items on and sell them. You can even reach a larger amount of people. If you have something you want to give away just to get out of your home or yard, place a free ad.

The Internet is a great resource for finding items and services that you want or need. There is a wealth of free classified websites on the Internet. Research has shown that about 90% of Internet users search online for items or services that they want or need. This gives the seller of the item or service a wide range of people that might be interested in what they are offering.

If you are looking for work, offering a service or an employer looking to hire, free classified websites are a good resource for you. You can save money by using these services, and place the ad on a few of the websites. You will reach the audience that is looking for that job, or service that you have to offer.

If you sell items, this is better than E-bay as you pay no fees. You can list your items for free. You can post a picture on some free ad sites, or some will give you a minimal charge, or if you are a member of that website you may not have a charge for a photo. Photos can always be e-mailed to interested parties.

Do you have some puppies to sell or give away? You can reach a wider pet market on the Internet. This is a good way to find a good home for your pet. Research has been done on Internet shoppers, and people that are looking for almost anything look on the Internet first, almost 90% of online users look on the Internet for items they want or need.

When you place a free ad, be sure to be specific in your descriptions about the item that you are selling. Give an e-mail contact address. I would set up an e-mail account just for the classified ads, so you do not have to post your main e-mail address. Only give your address if you find a buyer. Make sure to let the buyer know that postage is extra if the item will be sent.

If you are posting a service, make sure you tell your experience, and why you offer a better service than others. Tell them why you are unique. This will help to grab the attention of someone looking for your service.

If you are posting a job, make sure to include a description of the job, the amount of experience required and if there are any degrees or certificates that one needs to qualify for the position. You should also mention if there are benefits included when hired, and also a wage range. Then sit back and let the website work for you. - 16003
