Take The Family To Rome For A Great Holiday

By Jill Krammer

Rome is a wonderful place for your next family vacation. However, you might have trouble finding high quality accommodations when traveling with children.

Staying in a hotel with kids can be difficult. After all, the majority of hotels aren't really for kids - the longer the stay, the less happy you and your family all are.

The good news is that if you're looking for quality accommodations while your family is in Rome, you have an alternative to hotels. Choose short term apartment rentals and get all the comforts of home at a great price.

Most of the usual apartment types are available, from snug studios for couples or single travelers to full multi-bedroom units. Every apartment offers all you'd expect, including at least one bathroom, a full kitchen, a family room and more.

You can even find apartments that are specifically meant for group travel or families. Invite others along and stay in the same building!

Find the right agency to rent from - one that understands the needs of people from outside Italy and is willing to help you find apartments that offer what you're used to. This reduces culture shock, allowing you to return after a long day to a comfortable, welcoming place.

Remember - these are real homes, and might not be like the vacation apartments you've seen in the past. You'll be in a comfortable, livable place, but you'll have to provide your own meals and linen service is weekly, not daily.

You'll be able to make sure your kids can have their favorite foods, and you'll have the opportunity to experience local cuisine and save money if you cook your own meals. Since these apartments are mostly located in residential areas of Rome, you'll get a look at the areas outside of the big tourist spots.

Available laundry facilities allow your family to pack lighter as well, and to avoid fees for more checked baggage. You can even save more space for souvenirs.

You'll find you have much more privacy in an apartment as well. No one will enter your room on a daily basis, and you don't have to worry about thin walls and crowded halls.

In addition, you'll be able to have private bedrooms when you rent an apartment, allowing each person to have some alone time - something that's hard to come by in a hotel. On family trips, some privacy can be at a serious premium.

If you're concerned about cost, you shouldn't be worried. Apartments are competitively priced with hotels, and in some cases can cost a great deal less.

Anyone who wants to take their family to Rome should think about all their options. Avoid the difficulties that come with hotel stays and check out your apartment rental options. - 16003
