Air soft refers to a sport wherein opponents aim to hit players on the other team with pellets that are made of a non metallic substance. These pellets are shot with a gun or a pistol. A manual sprig board launches out the pellets. The spring board is in turn powered by gas or electricity.

Air guns are different from paintball guns since the velocity is different to where the speed is measured by joules. Air guns do more damage than paintball pellet guns since the pellets used are like small tiny pebbles which can leave some bad marks that resemble an open mosquito bite when it?s been over-scratched.

Safety clothes or uniforms should always withstand the impact of the velocity of the pellets especially on close range shot. Head and eye gear is always a must during the game even to those non-combatant personnel to prevent injuries.

Proper attitude are also observed during the game. Aside from the knowledge of how to use the airsoft guns, participants are required to know the ethics of the game, such as not to point the guns if not in the game proper itself, no cursing or using of bad language during the game, acknowledging if being shot and no shooting at a surrendering enemy.

Airsoft guns to the untrained hand prove to be dangerous. While military re-enactments use blank bullets in their exercise, these however possess risks of having accidental discharges that could injure anyone.
